Community Guidelines
Effective date:
Hello is a place for adults to meet through conversation. These guidelines apply to profiles, usernames, images, messages, voice notes, audio and video calls, and every other interaction on Hello. They form part of the Hello Terms of Service.
1 Adults only
You must be 18 or older. Do not lend an account to a minor, or help anyone bypass an age check. Parental permission does not make an under-18 account eligible.
If you are reported as potentially underage, you must complete the required age-estimation check to continue using Hello. An under-18 result or refusal leads to an account ban. If you believe a decision is wrong, appeal to app@feelinghello.com. An estimate is not proof of a person's exact age, identity or trustworthiness.
If you receive an under-18 estimate, you can retry after six months. You must still actually be 18 or older to return. You can appeal a mistaken decision to a human reviewer before the six months ends. A technical failure or inconclusive result is not, by itself, an under-18 result or a refusal; contact app@feelinghello.com for help. A request or appeal does not automatically restore access.
2 No sexual content
Do not upload, send, request or display nudity, exposed intimate body parts, pornography, sexual acts or sexually explicit content. This applies to private chats and calls as well as profiles, even if participants consent. Do not unexpectedly expose yourself or pressure someone to send intimate material.
3 Protect children
Child sexual abuse and exploitation are strictly prohibited. This includes child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, sexual solicitation of a minor, sextortion, trafficking, and requests for, promotion of, or links to such material. The prohibition includes synthetic, AI-generated, altered or illustrated material that depicts or promotes sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
Do not expose a child to sexual content or bring a child into a sexualized interaction. Never use a child's image or identity to facilitate abuse. A child cannot authorize conduct that violates these rules.
We remove confirmed child sexual abuse or exploitation content. When automated checks identify prohibited child sexual imagery, the account is automatically banned. Other child-safety violations can also result in an immediate ban. We report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities where legally required, and may preserve relevant evidence and make other lawful reports of suspected offences.
Report suspected child exploitation through the in-app report button or contact support@feelinghello.com. Identify the user and where and when the incident occurred. Do not download, save, screenshot, forward or attach suspected child sexual abuse material. If a child faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
4 Respect people and their boundaries
Do not bully, threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate or repeatedly contact someone who does not want contact. Do not encourage others to target a person, organize pile-ons, or use new accounts to get around a block.
Do not attack or dehumanize people because of characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. Slurs, threats and promotion of hateful violence are prohibited. Disagreement is allowed; abuse is not.
Do not make threats of violence, glorify terrorism, share graphic violence for shock or intimidation, or encourage self-harm or dangerous challenges. Respectful discussion of difficult experiences is allowed when it does not encourage harm or include prohibited imagery.
5 Protect privacy and consent
Do not reveal another person's address, private contact details, location, financial information or other sensitive information without lawful authorization. Do not threaten to expose private information, intimate content or conversations to obtain money, images or anything else.
Do not record, capture, publish or redistribute someone's private conversation or content without permission and any authorization required by law. You may make a lawful, necessary and proportionate report to Hello or an appropriate authority. Reporting does not permit unlawful recording or public shaming, and the child-safety restrictions above still apply.
Share your own personal information carefully. Screenshot controls cannot prevent every form of copying or recording, including someone using a second device.
6 Be honest and use accounts responsibly
You can choose a username. Do not impersonate another person, use stolen images, or mislead people about who is communicating with them. You must have permission to use any image or other material you upload.
Use accurate age and account information. One email address can be linked to only one account. Do not sell, rent, transfer or share control of accounts, or use another account to evade a cooldown, suspension, ban or block.
Do not defraud people, run romance or investment scams, request passwords or verification codes, send phishing links, or pretend that Hello requires a payment outside its official purchase flow. Business accounts, spam, mass messaging and unsolicited commercial promotion are not allowed.
7 Keep the service lawful and secure
Do not use Hello to organize crime, exploitation or trafficking, or to buy, sell or promote illegal goods or services. Do not facilitate the sale of weapons, illegal drugs or other prohibited or regulated goods through Hello. Do not promote illegal gambling.
Do not infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights. Do not distribute malware, exploit security weaknesses, scrape users' information, use unauthorized bots, or interfere with Hello's technical or safety systems. Send security concerns privately to support@feelinghello.com.
8 Report and block
Use the report button available throughout Hello, including in chat, during a call and afterward, to report a user or incident. You can block or unblock other users. Blocking helps you control contact; submit a report when you also want Hello to assess misconduct.
Give an honest description with the username, approximate time and relevant context. Use the reporting tools without collecting or forwarding prohibited material. You can also contact support@feelinghello.com. Do not make knowingly false reports or coordinate reports to punish someone for a disagreement.
9 What happens after a violation
Depending on the violation, Hello may issue a warning, impose a temporary cooldown or feature restriction, suspend an account, or permanently ban it. For example, prohibited nudity in a profile picture or an intimate photo in chat can lead to content removal and account action. Paying for a subscription does not exempt anyone from these rules.
The seriousness of the conduct, risk of harm and repeated violations can affect the response. We do not promise a warning or cooldown before a ban. Severe child-safety violations can lead to an immediate ban and lawful referral to authorities.
If you believe we made a mistake, email app@feelinghello.com with your username, account email, the decision and a brief explanation. Do not include passwords or prohibited material. An appeal does not itself restore access. You may still exercise any other rights provided by applicable law.
Suspension or a ban does not automatically cancel a subscription or stop renewal. Cancel separately through the Apple or Google account used to purchase it to prevent future renewal charges. Subscription cancellation and refund rights are explained in the Terms of Service; contact support@feelinghello.com for billing help.
10 Updates and contact
We may update these guidelines as described in the Terms of Service. Material changes will be communicated with the notice required by those Terms and applicable law.
